Growing up, Chris went through the Scout Movement as a a youth himself, starting in Beaver Scouts and going through to Scout Network. Since relocating to Bath in 2008, from North Yorkshire, he has been a leader – first with cubs now as a Beaver leader.
Day to day, Chris works as a clinical vascular scientist at the RUH, spending most of his time in a dark ultrasound room. Scouting is the perfect antidote to that, giving him (and the Beavers) opportunities to get out and about.
Jenny is a big fan of being outside, playing games and making stuff. She joined the leadership team in 2020 when her youngest son was a Beaver. Her children are now in Scouts and Explorers, but Jenny has remained with the Beavers, continuing to learn new skills, get creative and playing as many games as possible.
Jenny also manages content for the 69th Scouts website.
Amy has been a Beaver leader for 5 years and going into her third with the 69th. She enjoys the typical scouting activities like campfires, long hikes and having fun!
Max has been a part of the scouting community for many years and has supported several groups as he has moved around the south-west. Max is now volunteering with the 69th Cubs section and enjoys helping young people to be creative, try new things, and learn new skills.
Max’s favourite hobby is sea swimming and is eager to dive in whenever he gets the chance, even in winter!
.Alex joined the Cubs leadership team in 2025 and is excited to be part of the adventure. In his spare time, he enjoys running and cycling, as well as camping with his wife and two children. He’s also a keen supporter of Bath Rugby.
I’m passionate about helping young people grow, learn new skills, and build confidence. Although new to Scouting, I’ve found it quite rewarding and continue learning alongside a fantastic team. Seeing Cubs engaged and proud of their achievements is fulfilling—especially as a parent, watching my own child thrive in Scouts.
Sarah has been with 69th since 2016. She led the Scout section for many years before taking on the overall Group Lead Volunteer role for 2023 and 2024. She’s now enjoying helping across all the different age groups, focusing on fundraising and building connections with other community groups. Favourite Scouting moments? Early morning brews on camp before everyone awakes…seeing young people grow from small Beavers to confident young adults… and always making sure we eat plenty of custard!

Ben has been a Scout Leader
since 2021.He enjoys spending time hiking, camping and practicing bushcraft. During his time at Bath Scouts, Ben has played roles in the Cotswold Marathon, Bath Scouts Trekquinox and other district activities. Within the 69th group, Ben has organised survival camps in Tedbury and expedition camps in the local area and further afield in Exmoor.
In his spare time, Ben enjoys creating photographic work based around environmental issues that face the UKs rivers, also spending time outdoors camping and walking.
Tom has been a volunteer youth leader with various organisations for over 15 years currently splitting his time with Scouts and Boys Brigade and has been with 69th since 2021.
He finds Scouts an incredibly rewarding experience and particularly enjoys seeing the development of it’s members over their time. (He also finds it fun.)
When not at Scouts, he enjoys hiking, playing video games, going to gigs and making music
Matt is a student at the University of Bath and has been a leader with 69th Scouts since 2022.
He enjoys all things outdoors, especially hiking and camping.
Adam joined 69th Bath as a leader in 2024, but had been a leader with other groups since 2021.
He loves hiking and camping and is currently a student at the University of Bath.
I joined 69th Bath Scouts as a Trustee in 2023, shortly after I moved to Bath, and took on the role of Treasurer later that year. I spend an awful lot of time with my head in the business world, and it’s completely awesome to wear a different hat working with the Scouts – spending time supporting a charity that helps young people develop essential skills for life. I love the outdoors, lighting fires, learning new skills and pushing myself in uncomfortable situations – I wish I’d had the opportunity to be part of Scouting when I was young!
Peter joined as group co-ordinator in 2025. He’s lived in Bath since he did a PhD here in 2003 (during the day he makes mobile phone networks). Scouts has been a big part of his life, including as part of the 1999 UK Scout Jamboree support team to Chile. His son recently joined Beavers.
An explorer, adventurer and TV presenter, Dwayne's been seen in BAFTA nominated Channel 5 series Race to the Pole, on BBC Springwatch, Countryfile, National Geographic and Disney+.
