Skills for Life

We help young people gain the skills they need to shine bright

The 69th Bath (Lower Weston) Scout Group meet at Weston Methodist Church Hall, and provide a programme of activities for young people aged 6–14, through our Beaver Colony, Cub Pack and Scout Troop.

Welcome to 69th Bath (Lower Weston)

The 69th Bath Scout Group is one of 10 Groups within the Bath District, and consists of three sections.

Young people join us as Beavers at the age of 5½, move on to Cubs at around 8, and then on to Scouts at 10½ years old. At the age of 14, they leave the group to become Explorer Scouts (a section of Scouting that works across the whole district), although they are encouraged to remain with the group as “Young Leaders”, and hopefully eventually become the adult leaders of the future. Scouting really can mean a lifetime of adventure!

The group is entirely run by volunteers. From the Section Leaders running the weekly programme of meetings, to the executive committee, treasurer, group coordinators and network of regular parent helpers, our active volunteer team are always looking for new members, and any help that anyone can give is always appreciated.
