Dementia Friends training

On February 6th, the Scouts section welcomed a guest speaker from the Alzheimer’s Society, who gave an enlightening talk on dementia – and most importantly how we as Scouts can help support those in the community who may have this condition.
As well as being thought-provoking, it was important to understand how we can all help. We now have about 20 more trained ‘Dementia Friends’ in our local area – well done everyone!
