How does democracy work?

On 5th March, the outreach team from UK Government came to Scouts. A brilliant evening followed, learning all about how the Houses of Commons and Lords operate, who our local MP is, and how new laws are promoted.
We then formed a mock cabinet and shadow cabinet, debating the motion, ‘Should schools be allowed to start at 10am?’ Isaac proved to be an excellent Prime Minister.
