69th Bath Scouts Annual Report 2025

Date: 12th Jun 2025 Author: jenny stephens

As we reflect on our last year of Scouting at the 69th, it is a pleasure to think of all that we have done together. The Beavers, Cubs and Scouts have all participated in varied and ambitious programmes, devised and delivered by our volunteer leaders. From craft to climbing, camping to cooking,  there have been opportunities for everyone to try something new, make a connection, practice a skill and be part of something.

Governance of our Group is provided by an enthusiastic and skilled Board of Trustees. This Board provides oversight of the operational activities and acts as a ‘critical friend’ helping ensure adherence to national Scouting rules. The Board currently comprises of: Luke Angus (Group Lead Volunteer), Alice Lucas (Treasurer), Kathy Thornton, Nicky Davidson, Wasim Manihar (Youth Trustee) and Alex Radway (Chair). However, we are always looking for new trustees who can complement the Board with new skills, such as health & safety.

Many thanks to those of you have been able to help our activities over the last year. This makes a big difference to our leaders, who commit significant hours each week, and I encourage you to do so – even if just for a few hours. Likewise, we always seek financial support so please sign up to easyfundraising and let us know if your employer has a matched funding scheme.

We hope to see many of you at our AGM on 12 June.
