Cub Weekender, with the Scouts!

We had a fantastic weekend camp at Woodhouse Park with the 69th Bath (Lower Weston) Scouts.

The camp presented challenging conditions, with 33 degrees heat, but it was  no obstacle to everyone trying new adventures and testing their resilience. A campfire Saturday evening enabled us to share ideas for the term ahead, and Scouts enjoyed learning about bats too.

Highlights were the bouldering wall, abseiling, circus skills, craft, laser tag in the woods, chilling with friends and amazingly good food from chef Luke. A great start to the new term.

Cubs joined us for the County Adventure Day running at same time. So good to see many of them experiencing a Jamboree type atmosphere and to test out their teamwork skills. Many achieved their Adventure Challenge Award, a real result! Thank you Andy and team at Woodhouse Park it’s great to see this special place thriving.
