Cubs Adventure Day – Woodhouse Park

Date: 23rd Mar 2025 Author: jenny stephens
Our enthusiastic Cubs achieved their Adventure badges whilst at Woodhouse Park.
It was a beautiful, cold-yet-sunny day in March at the Cubs Adventure Day  where our pack were able to try many new activities. The first challenge was to work in their teams, taking it in turns and communicating with one another to decide which of the 50-ish available tasks to try and when.
Favourites included the cave bus, rifle shooting, clip-n-climb and the escape room- set by a group of explorer scouts. We also tried the low ropes course, bouldering wall, archery, go karting and laser tag.
Amongst all those, Cubs found time to race wheelbarrows, throw axes and tomahawks, learn some circus skills, decorate (and eat!) biscuits and craft new woggles, with a spot of drumming over lunch.
The cubs were a real credit to 69th with some excellent behaviour, endless energy and supporting one another through all the challenges. The photos from the day show some real bravery and literally lending one another a hand.
Thank you to all our leaders and especially young leaders from Explorers for helping the day so much fun.
