Filling a wintry sky with light painting at 69th Scouts

There’s no such thing as a ‘typical’ volunteer in the scouts, and here at 69th Bath we have a brilliant mix of life skills and backgrounds that we bring to the group. Sharing these interests with young people and inspiring future ideas is one of the best things about leading.

Light painting Photography session
Photographer and leader Ben was asked by the young people to run another session, offering creative experiences alongside our more adventurous elements. This time, we learned how to set up cameras and tripods for night photography. Thank you to Bath Spa University for generously loaning us their equipment to give scouts this special opportunity.

Light painting was the challenge this week, letting the Scouts have free rein with their imaginations to create beautiful images. Cue much laughter and curiosity! Hope you enjoy this sample of their work.

Would you like to inspire young people? No experience is needed, it’s a lot of fun and we give you all the training and support you need, to help young people gain #skillsforlife.
